Delray Beach

Delray Beach can be found in Palm Beach County in Florida. Located on the Atlantic Ocean, it is known throughout the world as a first-class resort town destination. The area offers a number of amenities to its visitors as well as a beautiful beach that is easy to access.
For those interested in getting out on the open water, Delray Beach offers a number of cruise opportunities. These cruises include two hour narrated tours that take visitors past the majestic homes within the area. Cruisers also have the opportunity to view marine life within its natural habitat.

The Delray Beach area is also home to numerous gardens. The American Orchid Society Visitor Center and Botanical Gardens can be found at Delray Beach. As the name implies, this 3.5 acre botanical garden specializes in orchids an is the home of the American Orchid Society.

Another garden found in the Delray Beach area is the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens. This attraction, which is located just west of Delray Beach within Morikami Park, is a center for Japanese culture and art. Operated by the Florida Parks and Recreation Department, it offers two museums and the Roji-en Japanese Gardens as well as a bonsai garden. It also includes a number of rotating exhibits and demonstrations, including tea ceremonies.
The Roji-en Japanese Gardens found in Morikami Park is actually comprised of six gardens. Each of these gardens represents a different period of the creation of the Japanese garden as it is known today. Covering 16 acres, the gardens are open to the public and admission is included in the fee to the Morikami Museum.
The Old School Square Cultural Arts Center is also found at Delray Beach. This center was built on the same location as the former Delray Elementary School and Delray High school. Today, it is home of the Crest Theatre, the Cornell Museum, a outdoor entertainment pavilion, and the vintage gymnasium that has been refurbished.
Delray Beach in Florida offers more than just beautiful waters and sandy beaches. Visitors can also enjoy a stroll through one of the many gardens or a game or two of gold on one of the many available courses.
