Hanalei Bay
Although Hawaii has numerous gorgeous beaches to brag about, Hanalei Bay on the North Shore of Kauai, Hawaii is at the top of most people's lists. This two mile long beach can be found within majestic green mountains and breathtaking high-rise cliffs.
While most of the beaches found in Hawaii are on the short side, Hanalei Bay is an exception. The crescent shaped white coral sand beach is one of the longest to be found in this island paradise.

Boating of all types is another popular activity within the waters of Hanalei Bay. In fact, a number of boats utilize Hanalei Bay as a starting point for their excursions to the Na Pali Coast. Other popular activities in the area include swimming, bodyboarding, fishing, beach walks, and paddling.
Visitors to Hanalei Bay also enjoy visiting the village of Hanalei, which is located in the center of the bay and is accessible throughout the entire year. Here, visitors can spend time at a number of fun cafes and inns. The overall experience is one that is rich with Hawaiian culture and ethnic diversity.
The famous Princeville Resort is also located on Hanalei Bay. The resort is known as one of the premier ocean resort communities in the world. It is also renown for its ability to retain the beauty of ancient Hawaii while embracing Hawaii's more modern lifestyle. Named after Prince Albert, Hawaii's crown prince, the land was once the home to cattle ranches and sugar plantations.
Waimea Canyon can also be found in the nearby Koke'e State Park. This 12 mile long canyon, referred to as the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific" by Mark Twain, is found on the west side of Kauai. The canyon is unique in that it was formed partially by erosion, but also partially by the collapse of the same volcano that was responsible for forming Kaua'i.
Spectacular Hanalei Bay in Hawaii offers a variety of natural wonders both in and near to the beach. With a number of activities available in the area, it is little wonder so many flock to its shores every year.
