Redondo Beach

Redondo Beach is a city located in Los Angeles County in California. Located in the South Bay area of the Los Angeles area, it is considered to be one of three Beach Cities. Sometimes referred to as Bay Cities, the Beach Cities include Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, and Redondo Beach. All three of these cities are known for their beaches as well as their municipal piers.
Redondo Beach is located a mere 20 miles from downtown Los Angeles and is only seven miles south of Los Angeles International Airport, making it an easy beach to get to from anywhere in the world. It has long been considered one of the most desirable areas of the country to live in and, as such, its population has been steadily growing over the past several years.
The main attraction of Redondo Beach is the Municipal Pier. Nicknamed the "Endless Pier" or the "Horseshoe Pier," it is thought to be the longest pier in North America. Both tourists are fishermen are drawn to the pier, in part because of its unusual shape. Rather than going straight out to see like most piers, it goes out diagonally before returning to shore.
The original Redondo Beach Pier was reinforced with concrete in 1914 and was later replaced by a timber pier in 1928. After it was severely damaged by a storm in 1988, it was ultimately reinforced with concrete once again in 1996. This reinforcement also helped revitalize the area, particularly the business district of Redondo Beach.

The area near to the pier offers a number of activities to visitors. Small shops, restaurants, bards, and an arcade can be enjoyed. Fishermen also enjoy the pier.
The downtown areas of Redondo Beach is referred to as "Riviera Village" after the Hollywood Riviera. Here, locals enjoy dining and shopping in the peace and tranquility the area offers. Several restaurants that have been added to the area over the past few years has helped draw in additional tourists.
The downtown area also offers a number of shops and boutiques that specialize in fashion and clothing. In addition, visitors can enjoy a visit at any one of the three wine-tasting galleries in the area.
Redondo Beach in Florida continues to grow and to explore ways to please its visitors. With numerous restaurants and shops to choose from, coupled with the magnificent views and fantastic waters, it is little wonder it is quickly becoming a favorite place to play for the rich and the famous.
